Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is well-known American actor. Kellie Martin has appeared in many films and TV shows, such as "Christy", a drama about a young woman known as Christy Huddleston. Her other notable roles include appearing in the titular role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin started her acting career at the age of was seven. The aunt of her mother, who served as the nanny for actor Michael Landon's children, was a big help in landing her an unimportant role in the TV show Father Murphy. She began acting professionally after graduating Yale University. This led to her being offered major roles both in the television and film industry. Martin as well as being an actor, is also an accomplished photographer as well as a ballet dancer. As a mother to two children, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has promoted awareness of this disease ever since her sister's death in the age of 19.
